Language barrier in treatments

The main barrier to effective communication is language. If the two parties involved in the communication don’t understand each other’s language perfectly then some degree of misunderstanding will take place. Communicating to patients in their own language improves patients’ compliance and understanding of their diseases; patient self-reported well-being and functioning. Our experience has also shown that accurate communication between patient and provider decreases unnecessary diagnostic testing and increases proper diagnosis, patient compliance, and the retention and use of appropriate services. Also, clear communication has the potential to improve health outcomes by increasing the efficiency of clinical and support staff, resulting in greater patient satisfaction.

Dentista Dr. Luiz Octavio Benatti Jr

DDS, is a fluent english speaking dentist in Sao Paulo. After also attending Pan American Christian Academy (K-12), the christian american school of São Paulo, Dr. Luiz Octavio Benatti Jr went on to receive his degree in dentistry. He was then accepted into the University of São Paulo College of Dentistry for a program in advanced education in implant dentistry. Following the completion of a 2 year program, Dr. Luiz Octavio Benatti Jr received certification as an Implantologist. Very interested in oral surgeries, Dr. Luiz Octavio Benatti Jr was again accepted into the University of São Paulo College of Dentistry for a program in advanced education in periodontics. His published papers were on gingival grafting techniques on both teeth and implant sites. After the completion of a 2 year program, Dr. Luiz Octavio Benatti Jr received certification as a Periodontist. Seeking excellence in oral surgery for his patients, Dr. Luiz Octavio Benatti Jr was also accepted into the University of São Paulo College of Dentistry for a 2 year program in advanced education in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI); and the American Association Implant Dentistry (AAID).

DDS has over 40 years experience in dentistry and specializes in prosthodontics. He earned his post graduate degree in prosthodontics from the São Paulo Association of Dental Surgeons (APCD). He also holds a certificate in advanced prosthodontics from Nobel Biocare, the world leader in innovation and aesthetics in dental prosthodontics. Due to constant developments and breakthroughs in the area of prosthodontics, restorative and aesthetic dentistry, Dr. Luiz Octavio Benatti frequently attends continuing education courses and meeting, keeping up to date with the latest techniques and technologies, so that he can bring the best dental care for each patient.

DDS, is a fluent english speaking dentist in São Paulo and has been in practice for several years. After attending Pan American Christian Academy (K-12), the christian american school of São Paulo, Dr. Pedro Augusto Benatti went on to receive his degree in dentistry. After spending two years in private practice as a general dentist, Dr. Pedro Augusto Benatti went on to become a specialist in periodontics and gum disease and implant placement. He was accepted into the University of São Paulo College of Dentistry for a program in advanced education in periodontics. His studies and published articles focused on orthodontic treatment and compromised periodontal patient. Following the completion of a 2 year program, Dr. Pedro Augusto Benatti received certification as a Periodontist. Later seeking to refine and enhance his knowledge, Dr. Pedro Augusto Benatti was also accepted again into the University of São Paulo College of Dentistry for a program in advanced education in orthodontics for a 3 year program. His combined specialty training and scientific background make him uniquely qualified to address complex cases with the highest quality and excellence.
